A League of Her Own
I met Taylor a couple of years ago during a class demonstration when I was a dance teacher teaching at local studios. I had just finished teaching when Taylor's younger sister, one of my students, introduced me to her. Taylor had a warm and welcoming energy about her and I had a sense that I had met her before but I wasn't sure where. We spent a few minutes exchanging notes on where we went to college, past performances, and local events trying to figure out where we might have crossed paths but nothing came to light.
That's the very thing about Taylor though-her relatability, warmth, and overall charismatic and friendly demeanor make you feel as if you've known her forever. When I think of Taylor Lane, words like bright, bold, fun, energetic, and authentic come to mind and all of these characteristics serve her well as an artist, a budding local stylist, and as the Director of Digital Media for San Antonio Woman Magazine.
As a performing artist, Taylor has performed all over San Antonio, Texas and these days flexes her creative muscles as a content creator, influencer, and as a digital media boss for one of the longest standing publications in San Antonio. She is also a huge supporter of San Antonio's local businesses and will often shop at local stores, dine on local fare, and frequent local artisan markets and utilizes her platform to highlight these local gems to our community.
Finding her voice in fashion, Taylor empowers not only herself but others by encouraging them to live out loud and find their own authentic voice and live their truth. Taylor styled every single look for our photo shoot together and in one of her posts states:
"When I was younger, I tried to dress the way everyone around me was dressing. I never felt comfortable or confident trying to find outfits that would look like what I thought was the “right” way to dress.  Let me tell you- it’s WAY more fun and empowering styling exciting outfits with pieces that I’m absolutely in love with."
Taylor is definitely an up and coming #bossbabe and someone to watch as she continues to grow and support our community. You can follow Taylor and all of her fashion and local adventures on Instagram at @_tay_lane and @model.t.lane.
